Blog Set-Up

Hey everybody,

1.) The results are in!

What do people think of the blog?

Bad: 7%
Mediocre: 12%
Above Average: 12%
Great: 69%

Looks like we're doing a good job! (According to ourselves mostly hehe...!)

2.) We've also been trying to get a good mix of funny and serious articles on here, something for every mood... and it seems like we're just right...just need one more person to think it's too serious for it to be perfectly balanced...

Too Serious: 10%
Just Right: 70%
Not serious enough: 20%

I'm sure you guys can map this one out in ur minds...would look something like this:

3.) Last thing, somebody mentioned not liking the color scheme here...does anybody have a suggestion for how to change it? Or would most people want to keep it?

I like it, it is very easy to read and black saves energy.

i agree joey, nice graphs.

now, while i do agree with jake: it is easy and black does save energy, I also think that the color schemes don't exactly match up with the theme of an idea shop. i dunno just a thought...

mmh...if i had dreamweaver i could redesign it. maybe a green theme... with a HUGE tree (w/ convoluted branches) on the lower left corner. on the tree, we have fruit that enclose different ideas in the middle. i'm not sure if that was a good description, so i'll draw a picture later.

hmm, from what i know, you can't modify a blog with dreamweaver. i have dreamweaver, and i've never seen such an ability, but i could be wrong. is there a feature that i don't know about?

i never tried it before, but it works with websites, so why not blogs?

The design of the page is very suited for the leisure portion of the internet. I'm concerned when I look at it at work that there is no way in hell I can pass it off as buying stuff on grainger.com or something. In brief: Good looking blog, NSFW.

haha, i just found it (although it took me a while :P). but we should fix some stuff, like add an archive section, switch the stat counter w/ the welcome section(this should be easy), maybe get rid of the picture tab? idk..

i like it, it's a lot easier on the eyes. though it would be nice if the borders weren't so fuzzy.

Comment by sophlightning305 on November 12, 2008 at 9:53 PM

also...can u add a new post button? that's hard to find...and contributor section :)

Comment by epfanne on November 12, 2008 at 9:57 PM
